Last November, I decided to host a supper club based on West African culture and cuisine and so AFROFUSION was born. The turn out was amazing, the support was overwhelming and the event was successful overall. I am eternally grateful. In continuing the momentum, I’m excited to announce that I’m hosting my second supper club/pop up restaurant!
On Saturday 29th April 2017, you can join me for an exciting evening of food, fun, drink, music and entertainment at 83 Southwark Street, London Bridge, London, SE1 0HX.
I’m bringing West African culture and cuisine to the heart of London and I would love for you to join me. I’ve put together a great line up of entertainment including a traditional percussionist, Afrobeats DJ and a fabulous soul singer you’re not going to want to miss! It’ll be a great opportunity to meet new people, make new friends and try something a little different. You can find full details (including menu items) and purchase tickets here, here and here. I know what you’re thinking, and to that I say: you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do! I look forward to seeing you there!
In all the busyness of the last event, I didn’t get to take any photos of the last event. This time, I’ll be sure to have some behind-the-scenes and event snaps to share. If you’re interested, I’ll also share some tidbits from my experience hosting and organising. There’s so much to it! It’s been exciting and stressful at times but all round amazing. Other than learning the how and how not to’s of running a supper club/pop up restaurant, one of the biggest lessons I’m learning is to feel the fear and do it anyway – but I’ll save the aha moments and insights for another post. Until then, if you have any questions, suggestions or just want to say hi, connect with me on Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter.
