It’s been a minute. After a few months away, I’ve recently reacquainted myself with my kitchen and my love of #food. I’ve just updated the blog (#linkinbio) with a recipe for my current favourite #lunch option: stuffed portobello mushrooms. 🤗THANK YOU! 🤗 to everyone that came out, helped out and performed at #AFROFUSION last weekend. I'm a little late in putting this post up, forgive me 🙈. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better night - I woke up the next morning with the biggest smile on my face when I realised it wasn't just a great dream. Up until the event (and even during), I was scared senseless but I'm so glad and grateful that I pushed past it and that I had the best, most talented people on my team to help make it a success: @rad_economist is the best damn food stylist/idea bouncer-offer ever, @djtomiwa is the bestest DJ, @mrolan02 was such a great host/MC, @richardolatunde killedt (yes, with a t) the drums and @jjsoulx left us all in awe of her talent and music. Overall, I couldn't be happier - it's been a week and I'm STILL smiling and thanking God. Special thanks also to @salome.amakhi, @ayodels, @m5jones, @febe_chi, Shekinah and Folu for helping out behind the scenes. #THANKYOU - with that being said, here are a few highlights from the night ✌🏾& ❤️

One of my favourite dishes: a simple suya lamb ste

One of my favourite dishes: a simple suya lamb steak salad #AFROFUSION at its finest. It was in-credible (I say that humbly, of course!). Healthy and delicious, zero guilt and a big fat smile on my face. This might just be the best thing I've had so far this year. Seriously. Meals like this that make me grateful for food and the ability to taste. Meals like this make me happy! It was super easy to put together:

I marinated a lamb steak overnight with @foodace's suya spice (best suya spice ever!) I grilled it for a few minutes on high along with some sliced mushrooms. I threw in some spinach, rocket, radishes, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, avocado and voila - magic.

If you’re #veggie, #vegan or #meatless on Mondays, you can try this too - suya spice goes great on veggies, tofu and tempeh!
